Hello there,

I filed a request for a ITIN for my wife and as instructed sent along the tax refund and w-2 form, though I sent copies of her documents instead of originals.

they got the package I think the last week of February, i have a few questions if I may :

Will it go through? I haven't got any notice from the IRS.

Now that they extended the deadline to may, I want to know if i need to resend the package.

Thanks

No need to resend. You will receive a notice within 3-4 months from the date they received it. The notice will explain that you need to send them the original documents. This notice is first mailed to you before it is rejected (& will need to begin the process again).

Do not resend any documents. They have it. However, if you have trouble getting the ITIN I recommend seeking a tax professional.
