I am a J1 visa arrived March 2019. My husband is J2 arrived at the same time with me. Do we need to file separately using sprint tax?

Yes, you will each need to file a Form 1040-NR tax return, which is not supported by TurboTax. 

 

Sprintax is a software that can file a Form 1040-NR.
