Just bought Turbotax 2021 Desktop. How to upload W2 PDF?

Never used Turbo before, previously used credit karma and I always just upload PDF to autopopulate all the fields. My wife who used Turbo free edition did that too online.

But my tax this year is more complicated so I bought Turbo premier off amazon. And I dont see a function to upload PDF anywhere. It asks me to important with control # but always gives me error... Does this function NOT exist on Turbotax desktop? Seems difficult to believe if this is true... since its so easy to implement

I've never uploaded a W2 PDF in Turbotax. I've either manually entered it or Turbotax can import it directly from some employers. I used direct importation this year and it worked very well.

I'm not sure if W2 can be uploaded into Turbotax.

You cannot upload a PDF to import your W-2 in TurboTax for Desktop. You can import it directly from your employer (if supported) or you can enter it manually. Please see the below help articles for more information.
