Last year I was able to down load all taxable information on wages, interest, etc. from each institution. Is that option no longer available?

Banks, brokers, employers etc. have until the end of January/early February to make this information available. You may just be trying to obtain it too early in the filing season. Since the IRS will not be accepting returns until January 29, you have time.
