Question

Last year my social and married last name was different, didnt have an issue filing. Why am I having an issue now?

Does the name on your tax forms (Forms W-2, 1098, 1099-MISC, etc.) match the name on your tax return? Also did you update your name with the Social Security Administration, your drivers' license, state ID, bank account name.

The IRS uses various public record sources for potential identity fraud.
