Nothing should be pending any longer since efile shut down last week ... so when did you try to efile ?

What does "Pending" mean?

Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.

If you e-filed your return in January, it'll stay in Pending status until the IRS starts processing the backlog of returns.

After January, e-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24–48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer.

Keep calm and check back

Until your state or the IRS processes your return,  you may hear there's "no record found." That actually means the return's still being processed. Just check back in a few days.

Related Information:

"Accepted" does not mean that your 2019 return has been fully processed.  You do not say when you filed the return.

Were you expecting a refund, or did you owe tax due?  Your only proof that you paid tax due would be your own bank/credit card record.

If you are expecting a refund, there should be information on the IRS Where's My Refund site.  If you owe, there will not be anything on that site and your only "signal" that the return has been processed will be your own record that the IRS got your payment.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
