I have been trying for 3 days to get through to the number on letter 4883C. I start at 7:00am and the recording states they cannot take me call, to call back. Is there an alternate number besides the one on the letter?

I am having same issue, but..., I got up at 6:45 to start calling at 7am, finally, after 20 redials and at 7:35 I got through to be on hold for 30-60 minutes.

You would think with all the money we send out we could afford to properly staff the IRS so they could answer these calls more promptly.
