Calculated Tax is $650 less than the correct tax shown in Tax Tables.

If you have Qualified Dividend and/or Long Term Capital gains, the tax tables give the wrong answer - too high. QD/LTCG are taxed at a lower rate than ordinary income.

You should have a "Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet" in your Forms somewhere, that describes the detailed calculation.
