Live in Ohio, own 2nd home in Michigan, no income in MI

Hello.  I had a question about filing my taxes after buying a 2nd home last year.  I own my primary home in Ohio.  I work only in Ohio.  I do not make any money in Michigan.  I used TurboTax to file last year so I was wondering if this would make things really complicated.  Do I have to file any local or state tax for MI?  I do not make income there as my career is in Ohio.  I pay property taxes in MI so that made me wonder if I had to file any kind of return there?  I have stock investments and thats the only other income I will have to file for.  Just want to make sure I do this right since the deadline is getting close.

No, owning a second home in MI is not a requirement to file a MI state income tax return.

See What are the State of Michigan individual income tax filing requirements?

However, you may be able to deduct the real estate taxes, on our second home, on your federal income tax return. See Can I deduct property (real estate) taxes?
