Question

log in to pay by credit card

It looks like the desktop software is trying to force me to pay out of my refund instead of letting me pay by credit card.  Intuit turbo tax has a problem in the software that needs to be fixed. I have used this software for years but will consider another one next year. I have tried all of the suggested fixes for this problem and I keep getting "Unable to sign in to tubotax cloud. Please check sign in" or it just spins.

You are offered to pay for the state e-file charge either with a credit card or use your federal tax refund to pay the fees.  All you have to do is click on the Pay with Credit Card button.  That's it...

I have tried this several times and it does not work.  I get this message:

Hmm... it looks like we’ve hit a slight snag

Please try again or check back in a bit.

    Try these troubleshooting steps:

Check your Internet connection. If you continue to have trouble, try exiting the program and logging back in. Try changing browsers (Chrome usually works well).

Try clearing your cache and cookies.  If after trying all of the options mentioned you still have the same problem:
