Question

Look for a number in the top-left corner of the federal return.Help me find it 4 of 410401040-SR1040-NR1040-Xnone of these R on my form SSA 1099

Those are all return types.

 

If you are a US Citizen or resident you would file a 1040 or if you are over 65 a 1040SR

 

If you are a Non-Resident Alien you would file a 1040NR

 

If you are changing your return you would file a 1040-X.

 

This would not be on your 1099-SSA, you would enter your 1099-SSA and it would then be entered on your 1040 or 1040SR if you are not changing your return and not a non resident alien
