What is the mailing address to send 1040 to the IRS?

Select File by Mail in the File tab, and pay any TT fees. Then, after you print the return, the instruction page will tell you where to mail it.

It depends what state you live in. Please go IRS Where to File Paper Tax Returns and select the state you live in.

 

It should also be on the instructions that got printed with your return.

I printed out my returns and there is an instruction sheet for mailing the state (CA) form but nothing at all about where to mail the federal return. What gives? Does this mean I don't need to submit the federal return?
