Is it necessary to have an ITN or SSN to file seperately?  She has never been to the US nor does she have any type of visa.  Inn addition she has no income as well.  How do I finish filing if I can't get past having to enter a number she doesn't have needs?

If you want to file married jointly, then the only way to do that is for your wife to apply for an ITIN at the minimum. She will need to come to US on a Visa, ideally a depended Visa to your work permit or if you are US citizen, then, you will need to file a consular processing Green Card for her thru' I-130 application.

Without this you cannot file jointly. If you cannot get her in US in time for your filing, then you may have no other option but to file as a single and then file an amendment once she comes to US and gets an ITIN or SSN.

If you want to file separately you do not need an ITIN for your spouse.  You also don't need to come to the US to apply for an ITIN, if you want one. How do I get an Individual Tax Payer Identification Number.  If you do want to apply for an ITIN for your spouse, you will need to mail your tax return in with the ITIN application.  However, it's not required to be able to file your return using the MFS status.

To file separately, just be sure that in the "My Info" section of the program that you have indicated that your spouse is a nonresident alien, but do not indicate that you want to treat her as an alien for tax purposes.  Ignore the messages in TurboTax indicating that the ITIN is missing and proceed to electronically file the return.
