Max deferral of self-employment tax error. line 18 set to 0 and still shows error

i have net loss on my Schedule C, so no SE tax.  Line 18 of the SE worksheet sets automatically to 0 but generates an error saying it is too large.  deleted the Schedule C and reentered and it generated the same problem (TurboTax Home

somehow it resolved itself on the 5th try.
