May not be the right forum but my desktop is failing and has 20 years of TT data, moving to laptop. How do I transfer data so it will download my 2023 file to 2024 on my laptop?

All of your saved tax data files and PDF's are stored, by default, in the TurboTax folder in the Documents directory.  Copy the the TurboTax folder from the old computer and put the folder in the Documents directory on the new computer.

Also, read all the posts on this conversation from earlier this year, which has good details on doing it.

And, re-iterating one some of the details...make sure you have created PDF files for each of the years prior to 2021, since you might not be able to re-install any of those earlier year programs in such a way that they will be usable.
