MCTR are add to taxable income

If the MCTR are not taxable why is it add to my taxable income, and drop my refund $200?

    Income on a 1099-MISC is normally taxable. California sent out the 1099-MISC forms for the MCTR before the IRS announced that it would not be taxable. Just delete the 1099-MISC for the MCTR from your tax return. You don't have to enter it.
