My bank didn't send me 1099-INT, is there a way to get one?

Yes - contact your bank. If you don't have any interest greater than $10 they don't have to issue a 1099 and you don't have to report it.

If you have access to your bank online, you should be able to find an electronic copy of your 1099 under tax documents or statements.

    Hope that helps!

It's not necessary. Include all of the interest you earned in 2024 from your bank statements.

Meanwhile you can contact the bank if you wish, check your online access or your app on your phone if applicable.

Financial institutions are not required to issue a Form 1099-INT until the interest reaches $10 for the year.

Thanks!  I have checked online for tax document but it was so strange that there wasn't one and I know I should have one because of a CD and it's over $10.

@dlp17   Did the CD actually mature during 2024?

Some CDs only report interest at maturity...especially if CD maturity is one year or less.

Those with maturities over 1 year usually report interest earned each year whether matured or not.
