I just noticed that when my records were entered when I started my entries has the name misspelled!!  Not sure how that can happen when last year's information was correct, but I pulled up the 1040 Personal Information Worksheet and corrected the error.  The file name is still incorrect.  Will the correction I made hold through to the filing??  Thank you.

It should be right now.   Open Forms and check your actual 1040 return not just the worksheet.   If your name is wrong on the Turbo Tax file ending in .tax2024 you can go up to File-Save As and give it a new name.   Then ignore the old file or delete it.   The Turbo Tax files (.tax2024 and pfd files should be in your Documents in a Turbo Tax folder.

Use forms mode and look at your Form 1040.   Is the name spelled correctly?

@xmasbaby0Thank you for your reply, but as I stated in my question, I did open the "forms" and the name was misspelled, so I corrected it.  I just need to know that is a resolution and it will carry through to my filing.

Thank you.

If you corrected it in Forms mode and went to Personal Info and corrected it, that is what will appear on the form that goes to the IRS.  And....the IRS only uses the first few letters of your name anyway---they use your SSN and match it to the first few letters.
