Question

Money provided quarterly and from 2018 tax return

We gave money from our 2018 tax return plus money submitted in June 2019 and in November 2019, totaling $1,600 for our 2019 taxes.  That is in addition to what was deducted from paycheck and retirement accounts.  1. Is that automatically taken into account without my having to identify it on the tax document we are filing?  2.  How do I know what the IRS account says we have submitted for taxes already if I want to check for accuracy?

Thank you.

Yes, when you enter your tax documents into TurboTax, you will be prompted to complete, or the data is automatically uploaded for you Taxes Withheld.  There is no additional steps necessary for your withholdings.

You would enter your estimated tax payments into TurboTax by following these steps:

    1. While in your Tax Home,

    2. Select Search from the top right side of your screen,

    3. Enter Estimated Tax Payments,

    4. Select Jump to Estimated Tax Payments,

    5. Follow the On-Screen Prompts to complete this section.
