Are there any deductions I can claim for moving in with my elderly mother and providing care for her?

I am also still working in my state that I moved from, commuting from my new state.

Explain "providing care."   What do you mean?   Are you paying for over half her financial support?   Did she have less than $4400 of income not counting Social Security?   Or by "care" do you mean you are helping her with household tasks, driving her to medical appointments, etc.?   Provide some details.

The costs of commuting to and from work are not deductible, even if you are driving a long distance from your mom's house to work in the other state.
