We just moved from South Carolina to Florida November 1st. How do I go about filing taxes next year? I believe FL has no state tax.

    Hello,

Since you moved in the middle of the year you will need to file a part year South Carolina resident Return and you are correct florida has no state income tax so there will be nothing to file.

For SC you will file the part year resident inputting the dates you lived there and then allocated your income between what you earned in SC and FL. The SC income will be tax to SC and the FL income will not be taxed by either state.
