Question

My 1099-Div shows a separate entry for "Private Activity Bond Interest Dividends." Is this not taxed, or does it need to be included in the "total Dividends"

Those $$ go into box 12 of the Software's 1099-DIV form  (you should also have tax-exempt $$ in box 11).

The Box 12 $$ "might" end up being taxable.   A lot depends on all of your income entries for the year.  Sometimes it can become taxable.  The software will determine that after you have everything entered....if, in the end, you are subject to the Alternative Minumum Tax (AMT)....then some or all of box 12 may be used to calculate an extra tax.
