Question

My 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) was input by turbotax from my 2018 turbotax return into my 2019 turbotax return. How can it be wrong? Can it be a turbotax error?

The return is being rejected because the AGI number does not match IRS records.

This can happen if the IRS changed your AGI due to a matching error between tax forms and what was on your return.

If your AGI from your prior year return has been rejected, you can get your AGI is from the IRS.

You can order a free transcript of your return at the IRS Get Transcript site or you can purchase a full copy of your 2018 return. Both versions will include your AGI.

If you cannot get your AGI to match IRS records, you will have to print and mail in your return.
