My 2022 tax return is in the current account I am using to file my 2023 return, but turbotax is stating I did not file 2022 with them.

That is puzzling.  So you bought 2023 TurboTax and started entering your tax information but your 2022 information is already there? 

If you received your 2022 tax refund or balance due notice, then your 2022 has been filed.  If you filed by paper it will not be shown as e-filed by TurboTax even though you used the software to prepare the return.

The most important thing here is to ensure that 2022 is filed.  Then you can clear and start over your 2023 TurboTax Online product by following these steps.
