Question

My 2023 e-file got rejected for IRS error code IND-181-01, but my account does not show my rejected return with the FIX MY RETURN button. How do I fix my return & e-file?

When I log into my TurboTax account it just prompts me to start on my 2024 taxes. Below that it shows my rejected 2023 return and has a tab to ammend it by downloading the desktop version. So I downloaded it & amended the return, all I had to do was add my IP PIN. But it wants me to print my amended return & mail it in & I want to e-file it, Id' prefer not to mail it in if possible. It says that you can e-file it by clicking on the FILE tab, but I don't see anything there about e-filing either. Please help me

sorry 2023 online preparation and e-filing are closed. if you paid all your fees try contacting support to see if they'll push a free copy of the 2023 app (state if needed). Otherwise, you'll need to purchase the app.

you must include your IP PIN which was the reason for rejection.

since your return was rejected you are not filing an amended return but an original.
