Question

My 2023 federal and state taxes were rejected. What should I do now? Can I still file my taxes for 2024 now and worry about the rejected 2023 afterwards?

A rejected 2023 return can only be filed by mail now.   E-filing is permanently closed for 2023 returns.   A 2023 return must be printed, signed and dated in ink, and mailed to the IRS and state.

Since you did not file 2023, when it asks you for a 2023 AGI to e-file 2024, use zero.
