Question

My 2024 return was rejected, and my 2023 AGI was entered correctly. At any point, does TT desktop show the PIN that was used in last year's filing? ty!

I literally copied the '23 AGI from the saved pdf and pasted it into the box, so that's not the issue. I tried to ignore the PIN during my second attempt to re-file and it said to make up any number. What am I doing wrong w my PIN. tyvm!

What was the reject code? The most common reject is for the AGI.   Even if you entered it right

Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time.  Especially if you mailed it.  That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

even though TurboTax knows the self-select PIN you chose last time, as far as i can tell, it never gives you the option to e-File with that PIN instead of last year's AGI. Strange.

Try AGI of "0.00". Why? somebody said it works.
