Question

My adjusted gross income is twice as much as my total wages on my W2. Is that wrong?

It might not be wrong; it depends what else is on your return.

 

Look at line 1 on your 1040. Is your Wages amount doubled here? This would suggest that you have two copies of your W-2 entered. If so, please delete one.

 

Look at lines 2b, 3b, 4b, 5b, 6b, 7 and 8. Is there an income amount here that is doubling your income? Should it be there?
