Question

My amended Federal tax return was rejected by the IRS. I can't figure out how to get to the Federal Taxes tab in order to select Smart Check per the directions

The IRS rejected my amended return because the Total Nonrefundable Credits Amount in the Correct Number or Amount Group did not equal the Total Credits Amount

Some TurboTax online customers are experiencing an issue when trying to amend their return. When selecting the Amend return button, the return is being rejected with a message stating "1040X Line 7 needs to match 1040 Line 21."

I filed March 9th and I still haven’t got an update or anything about my federal refund but I already received my state

What does your status show on the Where's My Refund site?

Unfortunately, the IRS is experiencing delays in the processing of returns due to a later than usual start to the tax season, a backlog of mailed returns, current tax season returns, and the current round of stimulus payments.
