My bank rejected my tax return and sent it back due to the fact my name was first on the taxes and we placed it in my husbands account. How do I get my taxes now

Banking information for direct deposit is wrong

If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected.  If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it.  The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS.  Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.  Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.

Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information

My second stimulous was returned by my bank because I had left the last number (4) on my bank account  on my 2019 tax return. Is there a way to correct this to the IRS so they will resend it to my bank?

@i1s2shore Please see the frequently asked questions on the IRS website:

My bank account information has changed or was incorrect. Can I update it using the Get My Payment tool? (updated January 15, 2021)

Your payment information can’t be changed. If you don’t get a payment and you’re eligible to receive one, you can claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 tax return.

Some recipients may have had their payment directed to the temporary bank account established when their 2019 tax return was filed. The IRS and tax industry partners are taking steps to redirect stimulus payments to the correct account for those affected. The IRS anticipates many additional taxpayers will receive payments following this effort.
