My child has a W2 form but I can't seem to enter their income information.

She only earned around $3,000, but it doesn't give me the ability to choose to enter W2 info for her.

You do not report your daughter's income on your return.

 

You can claim her as a dependent if she is under 19 or under 24 and a full-time student..

 

She is not required to file a tax return if she earned less than $12,950 in wages. However, if she had taxes withheld, she can file a tax return to claim a refund.

 

If she files a tax return, she has to indicate in TurboTax that she can be claimed as a dependent by someone else.
