My dad claimed me as a dependent. Im 19 and According to my W2s my federal taxes taken out of my check was around $880 and I’m getting 481$ back.. does that sound right ?

I don’t own a car or anything and I’m aware I only get back the federal taxes but does only receiving half of what was on my W2s sound right ?

Yes, that could be correct. If you were claimed as a Dependent, any income you made over $4,050 is taxable; therefore, a portion of your federal withholdings may have gone towards your tax liability.
