My daughter and her 2 kids live with me. She does not work but gets welfare and food stamps. I worked and earmef 3400.00 and then collected disabilty. She does not pay rent or help with all of the bills

Can i claim my grandkids as dependents on my taxes or will benifits be stopped  for her? My house hold bills per.month are more then she gets so i pay more and maintain a house for all of them.

For tax purposes, yes, you can likely claim them as qualifying children as long as they lived with you for more than half of the year.

 

As for if her benefits will stop, that is not a tax question.  You would need to contact the welfare office to find out if you claiming them would cause her to lose benefits.
