Question

My daughter is in college but went to the dorms in Aug of 23. How do I claim her? Do I put her as living with me for 8 months? She also has a part time job.

My daughter is in college but only lived in the dorm for 4 months. Do I claim her as living with me for 8 months or does that still count as the whole year?

The whole year.

Being away at school is the same as living at home.
