Do I have to pay an additional $25 for efiling both of my daughters 1099-NECs?

They are ages 15 and 17 and had income from performing with an orchestra.

Because of the 1099-NECs and no tax taken from their incomes. We will have to pay taxes to the state & IRS.

I tried for as many deductions as legally possible on each.

Yes. If you are using TurboTax CD/Download, there is a $25 additional charge to e-file a return.

You can print and mail for free. Since you are not getting a refund, consider mailing your state returns. You can still e-file federal. We recommend sending your returns by certified mail with proof of delivery.

Check your state. Some states allow you to file a return for free directly on their state website. Links to state websites can be found in “How do I track my state refund?”
