My EIC is about $1200 less than last year, but I only made $5000 more. Also, all the online calculators say it should be $981. TT is computing it at $786. Concerned.

EIC is paid on bell curve. As your income  goes up, the EIC goes up, but then starts to come down. What is your fling status?

For example, at the same income, the EIC for Single/HOH is less than that for MFJ.

The IRS does not even have the 2017 EIC amounts on the site yet. So how accurate is the online calculator that is being used?
