My employers state ID number is different than what's on W2?

The W2 information entered into TurboTax needs to match what is on your Form W2.  If the download didn't result in the correct information showing in TurboTax you need to manually enter/correct it.  

 

The state ID number doesn't affect your tax return calculations, but in some cases it may affect the ability to e-file properly.
