Question

My Fed refund calculated by Turbo Tax is difft than what's calculated using IRS fillable form. Issue seems to be with line 14. Per IRS form, it should be $0 (TT = $1,659)

The issue is more than likely caused by one or more calculations, that have to be done manually, on the fill-in form 1040 not being done or was done incorrectly. If all the same information is entered and calculated correctly there will be no difference.

1040 line 14 is a calculated amount by subtracting 13b from 12b. What are on those lines? You can't compare just 1 line. You have to compare each line on the IRS form with your Turbo Tax return.
