My fed was accepted but state was returned. I cannot figure out why

I resent it but nothing changed when I did the resend process

If the return is rejected there is usually a notice telling you that the return was rejected and this is what to do to fix it. Since you did not receive notice of rejection for the state it could be that it was never processed. If it is rejected again please follow the reommended steps to fix it

Federal may move right along and state still show in pending status since IRS doesn't handle the state return. If your state return gets rejected, that doesn't mean the federal will. They are processed individually by different entities.
