My Federal Estimated Tax Vouchers are printing out with "Do Not File" written across them in all caps. Why is this happening?

Would you believe its because the IRS has not finalized them so they can't be used right now for filing.

Perhaps a better method is to use IRS direct pay for the quarterly estimates. No worry about the envelope and check getting lost in the mail and the possibility of the check being stolen, altered and cashed.

I'm sure the IRS would accept your payment with the water-marked vouchers anyway.
