My federal return rejected because of reject code FDI_8962_DepLine2BEm. It says check back after the 20th because it will not let me change anything on my return. Why?

I resubmitted this morning and already got rejected. Same error code. On the online version there is no option to for Line 2B.

Try deleting your 1095-A and reentering. That has worked for others.

Also, I did not have health insurance for November and December. Should I enter zero or leave blank?

You might need to update your dependent income before re-submitting.  Look for this box.

Would I do this if my wife and I are married filling jointly? I do not have dependent filing separate return...only dependent is our 5 year old daughter. Also, I checked the Self employed bought marketplace insurance box.

I went ahead and deleted Form 1095-A and re entered it. When I preview my taxes it now automatically puts in a 0 for my dependents on line 2B and I didn't have to check mark the box that asks me if my dependents are filing a separate return I just left the box blank since my dependent is a 4-year old and it wouldn't make sense. I believe this was an IT issue which is why now it will enter a 0 on line 2B for you automatically. Make sure to preview your taxes before filing to make sure a 0 has been entered.
