Question

My federal tax is correct filing separately, my state is filing jointly my turbo tax should have change me state to separately to. How do I fix this?

In most state interviews, one of the first screens you see is confirming type of state residency. TurboTax usually asks if both the taxpayer and spouse were residents or non-residents.

If you return to the beginning of your state section, you should be able to change to MFS. Since you are filing MFS for Federal, it should be no issue to file the same way for your state.
