Are you referring to a screen that says "Let's import your tax info?"

That search line for a Bank/financial institution is only for importing the 1099-DIV information, and only if the institution participates.  Many financial institutions are not participating partners with TurboTax for importing purposes.  If your financial institution does not participate as an import partner with TurboTax,  or if you just prefer to enter it manually, here's how to enter your 1099-DIV.

• On that import screen leave the institution search line blank.
• Scroll down lower on that screen (underneath the logos) and choose "Change how I enter my form".
• On the next screen, if necessary scroll down and choose "Type it in myself."
• Then it will ask you for the Payer's name and other info from your 1099-DIV form.
