Solved

My husband and I are filing jointly and he has a 1099-R but it seems like whenever I put it in they are saying it is mine. My name is not on it.

You will want to make sure you selected that the 1099-R form was for your husband, you can review/change this using the instructions below.

  • On the Tax Timeline, select "Federal Taxes"
  • Select "Wages and Income"
  • Click "Edit/Revisit" next to "IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)"
  • Click "Edit" next to the 1099-R in question
  • The next screen should allow you to verify the owner of the 1099-R and you can select who the form belongs to.
