My husband and I Filled Jointly this year and we are only getting 125 back why could that be?

The most likely reason for owing is that you have not had enough tax withheld to cover your tax liability. Normally it is better to file as married filing jointly, however, you may want to compare your refund amount when filing as the married filing separately.
