My husband and i have been married for 14 years. He did not adopt my other kids so i am trying to figure out can he be used as a legal parent or just my name? thanks

He is a stepparent.  You would be the legal parent.  He would be the step parent.

For purposes of claiming a dependent, a stepparent has the same rights and follows the same regulations as a biological parent (and that does not end with divorce, by the way).  So it really doesn't matter that he has not legally adopted them.
