My husband and I separated in the beginning of 2021. I am claiming the kids this year because they lived with me all year. He received the third stimulus for the kids. Turbo Tax asks the amount on my letter which is 1400 (just for me). It wants to credit me for the kids. I'm not supposed to put the amount he received for the kids, right? It specifically says the amount on my letter. This is the last thing I need before I can file. Please help.

Report the amount on your letter.

If your 6475 letter only lists your stimulus for $1,400, this is the amount that you should report in your tax return. And you should be eligible for the Recovery Rebate credit for your children.
