My husband was laid off November 2015. He was not employed during 2016. We filed jointly last year. How do we file this year since I was our sole provider?

File as Married Filing Jointly even if one spouse has little or no income.

You should still file as Married Filing Joint, it is the better filing status even if only one spouse had income.
