Question

My Illinois state return has been rejected. I have attempted to fix error several times. Should I mail the return? If so, what documents do I need to send?

Mailing your income tax return:

If a payment is enclosed, mail your return to:

ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE

SPRINGFIELD IL 62726-0001

If no payment is enclosed, mail your return to

ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE
SPRINGFIELD IL 62719-0001

You would want to print your State return, sign and date it, attach your W-2 form and any forms to your return that show income tax withheld and mail in your returns.

After you e-file your federal return:


Go to Tax Tools 

Print Center

Select your state tax return
