Question

My last step says the IRS needs to finalize a fourm. I dont know what that means. And how long will that take?

#1) no filing is allowed yet, and won't be until sometime "after" the first full week in January

 

#2) don't attempt to file until at least the 1st of February....and then only IF IF the IRS is actually processing tax returns at that time. 

 

#3)  There are tons of tax forms that the IRS has not finalized yet...and even then, they would need to go thru Software verification between the IRS and the Software firms after that before they will become final for you.....the second stimulus program is one that will be a major hang-up as it was only signed-in less than a week ago and it can take a long time for the IRS to get them programmed into their forms....and out to the software providers.
